성경 속에는 하나님을 부르는 다양한 이름들이 있습니다. 그 중 ‘여호와 로이’가 있습니다. ‘여호와 로이’는 히브리어 ‘라아’에서 파생된 것으로 전해집니다. ‘라아’의 뜻은 가축을 기르고, 인도하고 키우는 것을 의미합니다. ‘라아’에서 ‘로이’가 된 것이지요. 시편 23편이 바로 그 ‘여호와 로이’로 하나님을 부르는 장면입니다. 어디로 가야하는지, 무엇을 해야하는지 알 수 없었던 다윗이 하나님을 부릅니다. ‘여호와 로이, 주님은 나의 목자이십니다.’ 이 속에는 인도하심를 바라는 고백이 담겨있습니다. 우리도 같은 고백을 드리고 싶습니다.

‘로이’가 두 번 반복되는 이유는 '하나님의 인도하심의 로이' 그리고 '우리들의 순종의 로이'를 담았습니다. ‘서울’은 로이로이가 활동하는 주 무대이자, 인도하심과 순종의 시작점이라는 의미를 담았습니다. 

하나님의 인도하심 그리고 우리의 순종이 서울에서 시작됩니다.

시편 23편 [개역개정] 

1. 여호와는 나의 목자시니 내게 부족함이 없으리로다 

2. 그가 나를 푸른 풀밭에 누이시며 쉴 만한 물 가로 인도하시는도다

In the Bible, there are various names calling God. Among them is 'Jehovah Roy.' "Roy" is said to be derived from the Hebrew word "Raa." "Raa" means raising, guiding, and raising livestock. From Raa to Roy. Psalm 23 is the scene where God is called 'Jehovah Roy.' David, who did not know where to go or what to do, calls God. "Jehovah Roy, the Lord is my shepherd." It contains a confession wishing for guidance. We would like to make the same confession. 

The reason why "Roy" is repeated twice is that it contains Roy of God's guidance and Roy of our obedience. "Seoul" means the main stage where Royroy is active and the starting point of indication and obedience. 

God's guidance and our obedience begin in Seoul.
